KCHS Admissions

Admission and Financial Aid to Freshman Class

Kolbe Cathedral is committed to enrolling a diverse group of students interested in preparing for college. Students in grades seven and eight are encouraged to attend Open House, held each October. Parents with students in grade eight who are interested in attending Kolbe Cathedral must submit a completed application/test fee with $50 (test included). Applicants are able to download an application and release form (see below) or call the Admissions office to have information mailed to you. Students in grade eight must take an entrance exam, submit the most recent report card and the final report card from grade seven. Tuition for 2024-2025 is $8,650. The entrance exam is offered on a Saturday in October and November, then once a month from December through May. Please check the calendar on the school website for specific dates or call the main office to register.

Please apply for financial aid at the same time as applying for admission.

Acceptance and Registration for Freshman Year

Initial Letters of Acceptance are mailed home during the
months of December and January. Letters of Acceptance are then mailed out on a continuous “rolling” basis based on the month that a student applies. A $1,000 registration deposit is due 30 days after receipt of Letter of Acceptance. Students who are not fully registered by that time may forfeit their financial aid awards, scholarships, acceptance to Shepherds, Incorporated and placement in the Honors program. Applications for financial aid are available for download. Students who have been accepted, who qualify, and have registered may request an application for Shepherds, Incorporated.

Transfer Students

Kolbe Cathedral welcomes and encourages applications from students who wish to transfer from other high schools. Students may submit applications with a $50 fee, the most recent report card and two letters of recommendation from their current high school. Only students with a 2.0-grade point average or better and who leave their high school in good standing will be considered. Eligible applicants will be contacted for an interview and writing sample. Transfer Applications will be accepted for September during the summer months of June, July, and August. Transfer Applications will be accepted during December and January for the Spring Semester that begins on the last Monday in January. See application packet at top of the page.
