Admission and Financial Aid to Freshman Class
Kolbe Cathedral is committed to enrolling a diverse group of students interested in preparing for college. Students in grades seven and eight are encouraged to attend Open House, held each October. Parents with students in grade eight who are interested in attending Kolbe Cathedral must submit a completed application/test fee with $50 (test included). Applicants are able to download an application and release form (see below) or call the Admissions office to have information mailed to you. Students in grade eight must take an entrance exam, submit the most recent report card and the final report card from grade seven. Tuition for 2021-2022 is $8,650. The entrance exam is offered on a Saturday in October, then once a month from November through June. Please check the calendar on the school website for specific dates or call the main office to register.

Acceptance and Registration for Freshmen Year
Letters of Acceptance are mailed home during the months of December and January. A $1,000 registration deposit is due 30 days after receipt of Letter of Acceptance. Students who are not fully registered by that time may forfeit their financial aid awards, scholarships, acceptance to Shepherds, Incorporated and placement in the Honors program. Tuition includes a Greater Bridgeport Transit monthly bus pass for those who live 2 miles away or more and books. Tuition is paid on a 10-month schedule beginning in July and due on the 15th of each month. Scholarships are awarded on academic merit and range from $1000-$5000. Financial aid ranging from $1000 – $3000 is also available to those who qualify. Applications for financial aid are available for download (see below). Students who have been accepted, who qualify, and have registered may request an application for Shepherds, Incorporated.
Kolbe Cathedral welcomes and encourages applications from students who wish to transfer from other high schools. Students may submit applications with a $55 fee, the most recent report card and two letters of recommendation from their current high school. Only students with a 2.0-grade point average or better and who leave their high school in good standing will be considered. Eligible applicants will be contacted for an interview and writing sample. Transfer Applications will be accepted for September during the summer months of June, July, and August. Transfer Applications will be accepted during December and January for the Spring Semester that begins on the last Monday in January. See application packet at bottom of the page.

Notification of financial aid awards are given after a review of prospective students’ admissions application and supported documents are received. Financial aid ranges from $1000 to $3000. All financial aid applications must be received by March 1st to be considered for assistance in the following year. Families must apply for financial aid each year of enrollment.

Once a student has been accepted to Kolbe Cathedral, a non-refundable tuition deposit of $1,000 must be submitted along with the registration form.
Payments in person can be made in the form of credit card, money order or cash. Credit card payments are accepted by phone at: 203-335-2554. Personal checks for tuition payments are not accepted.
