Endowment Fund

An endowment is an aggregation of assets invested by an institution to support its mission in perpetuity. Endowments represent a commitment between donors and institutions to link past, present and future generations together. Unlike annual gifts which are expended upon receipt, an endowed gift keeps giving over time as the invested capital funds continue to grow.

Kolbe Cathedral spends approximately five percent of the return from our endowment annually. This enables us to have a financial reserve for operating expenses and financial aid, and to support our students and underserved community. Our endowment supports a variety of efforts including an ongoing source of annual income for scholarship aid, program enhancements, faculty professional development, supplemental operating costs and building improvements.

Our goal is to grow our endowment to $10 million by 2026 and ultimately to $25 million, to ensure at least 50 more years of “Empowering Our Learning Community with Knowledge, Skills and Catholic Values”  at Kolbe Cathedral.
