A Perennial Resource for Kolbe Cathedral

Most private schools rely on their Annual Funds to provide the greatest and most important single source of annual fundraising support. Kolbe Cathedral will launch its first-ever fund of this kind in 2021-2022. Our initiative is named the Annual Harvest Fund to remind us of the hard work, care and nurturing it takes each year to produce a bountiful crop of caring graduates and college-bound students. It also pays homage to a long KCHS tradition of interclass student competition each November called “Harvest Party”. This fund will provide vital, flexible-use resources and discretionary income that allow Kolbe Cathedral to sustain its educational mission with an excellent faculty and proper facilities and programs that allow students to achieve at their highest level. The proceeds from the 2021-2022 Annual Harvest Fund which will run from November through June will go to much-needed building upgrades (the main school building was built in the 1960s) and to student financial aid. Giving levels are as follows:

$1 – $249 Friends of Kolbe Cathedral
$250 – $999 Cougar Club
$1,000- $2,499* Patrons Club
$2,500 – $4,999* Principal’s Circle

* Gifts at these levels will provide membership to the Maximilian Kolbe Society. Benefits will include a members-only Mass and reception with Bishop Frank J. Caggiano.

The Annual Harvest Fund provides funds to supplement the school’s operating budget which includes items such as: building and grounds maintenance, tuition assistance, and academic and athletic programs.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Harvest Fund will help provide the necessary funding to help close the gap between operating expenses and income from tuition. It will allow kCHS to remain affordable and offer much needed assistance to many youngsters who desire a Kolbe Cathedral education.

Give at a level that is appropriate for your family budget. Every contribution, no matter how small or large, is important in sustaining our mission to empower students with knowledge, skills and Catholic values.

Yes. Our school’s fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 each year so general donations during this entire time will help us budget for the current school year. However, the Annual Harvest Fund will be most highly promoted during the November through June timeframe.
